Why I'm Running for City Council
A quick note on why I filed to run for Doraville City Council, District 2 — and what I hope to bring to City Hall.
Hi neighbors — Brian here. If we haven't met yet, hopefully we will soon. I'm running for Doraville City Council, District 2, and this is the first post on what I'm going to try to keep as an honest, plain-language running log of the campaign.
Why now
Doraville is changing fast. Some of that change is exciting. Some of it is concerning. And a lot of it seems to be happening without much of a real conversation with the people who actually live here. I want to help fix that.
I'm not running because I think I have all the answers. I'm running because I think we deserve better questions being asked at City Hall.
What you can expect from this space
- A short recap after each council meeting: what was voted on and what it means.
- Occasional deeper dives on issues like the budget, tree canopy, and traffic.
- Ways to plug in — town halls, canvassing, yard signs, and coffees.
- Zero hype, zero doom-scrolling, and definitely no daily fundraising blasts.
